1. What This Extension Does

Google Sheets Unpivot is a Chrome Extension that allows users to unpivot (transpose) data in Google Sheets with one click. It reads data from your selected spreadsheet range and writes the unpivoted result to a new sheet — all within your own Google account.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

We do not store your spreadsheet data
We do not log your activity
We do not use cookies or tracking
We do not send your data to any external server

3. Google Account Access

This extension uses Google OAuth 2.0 to authenticate you securely. This allows it to read and write to your Google Sheets on your behalf. The OAuth token is managed entirely by Chrome and Google — we never see or store your credentials.

4. Permissions Used

identity — to authenticate you via your Google account
activeTab — to detect which Google Sheet you have open
sheets.googleapis.com — to read your data and write the unpivoted result

5. Third Parties

We do not share your data with any third parties. The only external service used is the Google Sheets API, which is operated by Google under their own privacy policy.
